Bilateral ties with Czech Republic reviewed
MUSCAT — Sayyid Saud bin Hilal al Busaidy, Minister of State and Governor of Muscat, received in his office here yesterday Zdenek Skromach, Vice-President of the Senate of the Parliament of the Czech Republic and his accompanying delegation. The meeting discussed matters of common concern between the two countries and means of enhancing the existing distinguished relations between the Sultanate and the Czech Republic in all fields.
Sayyid Saud explained to the guest the role of the Governorate of Muscat in serving the society and the historic and civilisational landmarks in the wilayats of the governorate. On his turn, the guest commended the qualitative and civilisational shift in the Sultanate generally and the Governorate of Muscat in particular, hailing the pioneering role pursued by the government of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos in cementing the co-operation relations with other countries.
Meanwhile, Mohammed bin Salim al Toobi, Minister of Environment and Climate Affairs also received Zdenek Skromach and his accompanying delegation. The meeting reviewed means of the joint cooperation between the two friendly countries within the framework of encouraging the co-operation with other countries and international organisations in the scientific, research and academic fields, as well as the importance of enhancing knowledge exchange in the environmental field and climate affairs. The meeting was attended by Tawfeeq al Lawati, Member of the Majlis Ash’shura. — ONA
